Good news or bad news?

One of my classmate told me a hilarious fact that " Amanda, your breast looks smaller today, it doesn't look as heavy as the last time I saw you."

HA HA. Does it mean I've lose weight? Or it's just an illusion for her? I laughed my ass off, that was the most funniest phrase of today.

Surprisingly, I realized that I leave my laptop charger in the college when I arrived home!!!! wtf.

I rushed back to the college immediately, felt too insane. I looked all over the classroom I was in this morning. I found nothing, and of course there was so many shitty movement like looking like a worried sucky duck running in the college talked to the lecturers, I thought I looked hilarious too.

A mixed emotion is driving me crazy. I came back home feeling disappointed and a little sorrow, lol

THEN,

I made the "comfort in your cup" which is refers to the Campbell mushroom cream soup for lunch. Drinking the hot soup make me feel warm and perhaps 2% of comfort. lolz it reminded me that I'm still blessed because I'm not starving to death like the kids in Africa.

But heck yeah, the soup tasted too yummy. I can't help it, it became my comfort food at the moment ;)

I think I'm gonna look at the bright side of every single tough situation, at least there's a good news behind every bad news =) cheers!

Surprise! My second semester has just started last week, wow. It's November baby, isn't it a beautiful month ? December is just around the corner, which mean it's Christmas fever. Time to browse in mall, hippie!

Thanks to Nicole for the previous comment about the Ah Lian and Ah Beng. Today, I found the article of 'how to dress like ah lian and ah beng'. Fascinating eh? lolz

Ah Lian
The Hair: Straight is good. Remember to go for regular rebonding sessions to ensure your hair looks ‘sleek' and chio. Increase your kawaii (cute) factor by adding all sorts of rainbow coloured clips to your hair.
The Make-up: The more the merrier, pile on the foundation and candy pink blush. Put on some bright red lipstick and maybe some blue or green eye shadow to dazzle your beau.
The Handphone: With this multi-purpose accessory that doubles as a mirror, use it to take pictures of your beloved to use as your wallpaper. Sms your friends to gossip about who's dating who and hang those dangling hello kitty phone straps for decoration.
The Clothes: The more outlandish the better. Contrast is good. Make sure the colours clash. That's how you stand out. The shorter the skirt or shorts, the better - flaunt your legs, skinny or flabby. Make sure your tops have enough frills or lace to look ‘dainty' Let the straps of your black bra peek out, it's said to be fashionable.
The Handbag: Has to be ‘branded'. It really doesn't matter if it's fake or genuine - as long as it has the ‘G' or ‘LV' logo. Carry it with pride even though it's far from the real McCoy.
The Shoes: Make that 3 inches, no, why not 5 inches? Get yourself a pair of platform shoes guaranteed to add height to your stature and make you feel tall. These chunky shoes come in all different designs and colours. Take your pick.

Ah Beng
The Accessories: To complete your look, get some gold or silver chains, fisherman slippers and a cool tattoo on your arm. Fake ones not allowed.
The Hair: The Ah Beng's crowning glory calls for regular maintenance. A regular dye job is paramount - go for golds, reds or blue if you want. Try to keep a long fringe (below eye level) - it's very useful to flip when trying to look cool or you can go for the act cute look by accessorizing with a hair band. The Handphone: Create your own collection of interchangeable handphone covers to match your hair colour. To look impressive, adopt a squatting position while using your handphone, punctuating every sentence with a Hokkien vulgarity.

The Car: One word - modified. Ah Beng cars are designed to siam (escape) as fast as possible from the police but gain the greatest amount of attention while doing so (including slamming into the nearest road kerb). To have your car looking real swee (pretty), choose an outstanding colour, like white or red, then fit it with modified bumpers and neon speed meters. Install a flashing antenna that can flash lights in sync to the beat of "Aiyee, aiyee, ai, I'm your little butterfly" or whatever song that's playing on your super loud stereo system. The Clothing: Save money to buy some blanded clothing from Armani and JPG. Or else, stock up clothing in every fluorescent colour you can find, especially if they're tight and have dragons printed on them. If you want more pattern, try sleeveless shirts with zips in front so you can pull the zip down to create different effects.

Today, I have class in the afternoon. I have 5 days classes now as the matter of fact, things changes, need to adapt new environment. Apparently I'm living with June in the big cozy masterbedroom. How sweet!

My past whole week was just too awesome, I miss cooking and baking in the house with mami :(

Definition of Ah Beng & Ah Lien

After all this year, I have met tons of Ah Beng & Ah Lien, but I have never found out the exact meaning of these names. lolz

Ah Beng is a term commonly given to a member of a group of young Chinese men in Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore and Malaysia. These Chinese men, whose age range from their early teens to late 20s, usually centralise in the busier and more developed cities in the region, but are usually seen as originating from smaller or more rural towns. Ah Bengs typically speak local slang, which is Hokkien or Cantonese mixed with English and Malay, such as Manglish or Singlish. They are often stereotypically portrayed to be anti-intellectual, superficial and materialistic and shallow. These values often lead to a lack of culture or indulgence in criminal activity or being involved in brawling or arguing out of disagreements with other people. Ah Bengs are also sometimes associated with extensively-modified or zhng-ed cars, [1] and are stereotypically seen as being excessively flashy and show-offs. Ah Bengs are often seen decked out in gaudy floral shirts, tight jeans and sneakers, and often carry around plastic combs.

The term 'Ah Beng' is also sometimes used to describe young Chinese men in Southeast Asia who cannot speak fluent English and/or have graduated from the secular Chinese education system of the region.

In Malaysia, the term 'Ah Beng' usually refers to males who have unusual styles and tastes. And the term 'lala-zai' refers to males involved in stereotypical gangster activity or fashion such as the dyeing of hair.

Ah Beng comes from the romanization of the Hokkien pronunciation of 阿明 (POJ: a-bêng). 明 is a word commonly used in the names of Chinese males in the region; it means 'bright' in the sense of intelligence. In Malaysia, Ah Beng is also known as lala zai. 'Lala' has no actual meaning in itself, while 'zai' (pronounced 'chai') means 'boy'. 'Lala zai' refers to individuals who speak Manglish and possess a strong preference for gaudy fashions or hairstyles. A large group of them also frequent cursing in their daily speech, and it seems to them that cursing is more of a need to stay as an Ah Beng. Cantonese words such as " Tiu Lei Ke Ma Chau Hai", " Ma Hai" and " Tiu Lei Ke Fa Hai" is commonly uttered by them.

h Lian is a pejorative term commonly given to a certain group of young Chinese girls in Southeast Asia, especially Singapore and Malaysia. These Chinese girls, whose collective age ranges from their adolescent years to late 20s, are usually centralised in the busier and more developed cities in the region. They are regarded as bimbos, and are stereotyped as anti-intellectual, superficial, materialistic, and shallow. Ah Lians are commonly stereotyped as having hair dyed in gaudy and bright colours, and attired in fashion mimicking hip-hop culture, or outdated Japanese fashion, although how much of this is true is debatable. Most of Ah Lians are wearing fashions that are out dated and they still have their hair straightened with thick fringe. They love to take own pictures and imitate the way Japanese girls take their pictures which is by making their eyes look big and puffing their cheeks. Few more examples of the way they take pictures are by putting a horizontal 'Peace sign' on their eye, putting a fist facing outwards on their puffed cheek. Another distinct feature of an Ah Lian is they swear in most of their conversations just like Ah Bengs. Much like their male counterparts - that is, Ah Bengs - Ah Lians are also thought of as being excessively flashy and show-offs.

The Ah Lian "culture" is especially prevalent in the secular Chinese educational system schools, typified by their frequent use of vulgarities and appearance in cliques (joined by their male counter parts Ah Bengs).

Ah Lians commonly speak in a kind of hybrid mix of Singlish or Manglish and Chinese, or Chinese-related dialects. It is also common for the grammar from these dialects to cross over English usage, creating English phrases with Chinese grammar.

Ah Bengs and Ah Lians love techno music. One can immediately spot an Ah Beng's or Ah Lian's car on the road. Their cars are usually heavily modified with big exhaust pipes, and powerful woofer set at the back of the car. They usually drive very fast while listening to loud techno music in their car.

My first semester has just ended, hooray. Time for celebration baby! It has been ages, no connection in the new house :( very inconvenient.

Today, I had a shower in the public washroom together with my new roomate. It was such an experience. Life without the essential things in life is such a pain in the ass. lol
Aside from that, I had a blast of fun last weekend. I stayed in Westin Hotel, it was gorgeous indeed. We attend one of our relative Falco's wedding ceremony and wedding dinner during the night. It was so grand and needless to say, I ate like a cow. lolz

Oh, I miss my grandma so much -_-

I'm so exciting about homecoming.

Thursday, September 18, 2008

Tonight, I am meeting my grandma in hotel, and we're going to attend a relative's wedding tomorrow. Sound pretty exciting though. By the way, 3 more weeks till homecoming. HA HA

What's new lately? I have been busy with studies and tests like usual, and I just shifted to another house recently. No connection in the house ;( very depressing.
Surprisingly my new roomate is a china girl who named Amanda as well. And we both own a same bag. Needless to say, I miss the presence of my ex roomate June. Thank God I have wonderful roomate and friends in KL.

geez, I gotto get going. toodles !

My first semester is coming to an end very soon, very excited. On the other hand, I'm exhausted. Too much books, too little time. -_- I can't wait till homecoming. ahhhh...

I'm enjoying cooking in the house, what a relieve when I'm away from the books.

Everyday is bombarded with errands, house chores and home works , how depressing? I miss being a child. omg, did I just mention that I miss my childhood?

Maybe, everyone of us miss the good old times. But times doesn't wait, the history will remain a very dear memories to us, we shall look forward and enjoy our life to the fullest every next second.

I am tired , to be frank. But I need to move on.

One good reason I love the place where I'm staying right now

Life is complicated, when I'm under pressure, thank God I'm living in Millennium Square.

On the other hand, when we're stressed, we can choose to turn our eyes to beautiful sights. Such as the handsome ones who are living here in this condo. Get the picture yet?

So I have made one new resolution.

How to reduce your stress

1) Step out from the house, boo! there's one hot guy, ahem

Ha ha!

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Despite of having too much fun, I rarely have the time to update my current activities. What have I been doing so far? I just finished my tests last weeks, and amazingly did some shopping with Allison on Saturday. We went to Times Square, Sungei Wang and she back home in the evening; while I had plan B during the same day, I went to Mid Valley for the next destination by myself, met other friends during the night to watch Death Race in the Pavillion. whoaa it was the most tiring day of the week, I came back home with hand-packed with shopping bags. Am satisfied. lolz

Except one thing, I did not like the rainy day when we went shopping, it's really disturbing. On the other hand, I did not get to finish what I'm suppose to do by this weekend. Life seems too busy all of sudden, but it's my guilty pleasure to chill out a little.

Death Race is a damn nice movie, don't miss it out guys =)

Ahhh, back to reality, I have assignments and speech to be prepared and done asap. I can't wait to have a long break back home , just to rest and relax!!!! -_-

p/s: I am very heart breaking now, I can't believe I am missing the big thang closing ceremony of Olympic Games 2008 :( ahhhhhhhh damn it, that's what life is all bout when there's no tv. lolz adios Beijing 2008 and hola London 2010!!

Thursday, August 21, 2008

Omg, I'm home sick.

Felt sick yesterday, thank God I have recovered today. It's so depressing when feeling ill without mami taking care of me. 51 days till homecoming babey! I am eager for it. lol

On the bright side, weekend is just around the corner. =P

gotto sleep, toodles.

Been shopping lately, it's mega sales. Due date is 1 Sep, will shop till I drop this month whenever I have the chance to. Besides, I just bought a new mobile phone a week ago. I love my S.E.

Apparently I'm addicted to the Hong Kong dramas. I started to procrastinate, lazy bum I am. I gotto complete my homeworks asap, continue to have fun.

p.s : Star Wars the movie is damn boring.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

Today I made refreshment to reward myself back home, it's end of the mid term exam. ahem, no, there's one more leave next Monday ;/

Thanks to my lovely room mate June's recipe. My tuna puff puff!

Looking delicious aren't they? I bet they do.

Sunday, August 3, 2008

I am feeling dead bored, so I have decided to blog. By the way, did I mention that one of my classmate lent me his phone ? It is so sweet of him, never in my whole life a friend such as he helping me so much ;) thank u so much babi. I hope you are feeling exciting this month, I should remind u what is so exciting.

First of all, mid-term exams; secondly, trip to Macao end of this month. damn, do not forget souvenir for us k? lolz

Anyway, I'm going to fast for junk foods this month, and fast foods as well. I'm craving for donuts, chocolates, cupcakes, and chips lately. These are the few deadly indulgence, hopefully I will get over it.

Risk taker

I have come to the point that realizing myself turning into a daredevil. How to be exact?

From a never-had-driving-experience-before on the roads to speeding at 100km/h in KL.
Heh, was so much fun I swear. lolz
Driving is officially become one of my hobby. Mmm.. can't wait to complete my driving license in KK.

I am dead bored staying in the house for about a week, spent most of my time reading -_- Next week will be an exciting week. Oh did I mention my phone broke down, it's time to get a new toy. Ohh shopping spree, here I come!

Sigh, I miss home cook foods.

Of stressed

I'm bombarded with homeworks every week, mostly are accounting and maths. Certainly, I do not like it. But I choose to love it. How does it make sense?

Life without a TV at home is totally absurd. I did not watch TV for about 2 months to be exact! lolz But I gotto save my ass out from the house on the 8th August, it's the Olympic Games Open Ceremony!! I gotto find a way to watch the TV programme; just for one night, I promise. Perhaps two, including the closing ceremony. lolz

I'm having mid-term exams this week and the following two weeks, how tragic is this ?

I am under pressure :(

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Why so serious?

Apparently I'm feeling extra emotional than ever, having wild mood swing for the past few days. I could be excited at the mean time, and turn out frustrated the next second. So many tests and homeworks to cope with, I can feel the pressure. However, I never forget how to take time to breath.

Being alone , here I am. Wishing somehow I have an intimacy relationship with somebody. But it doesn't change the fact that I need to deal with daily errands. There's time I feel like I want to quit, where nobody stand by my side for encouragement or motivation. But thank God for His grace. He is my refuge when I'm weak. Life is a journey and thus I should finish the race brilliantly.

Gosh, I need a break! I'm desperately need chillin. Cheers!

Thursday, July 17, 2008

I was chillin at home this morning, and felt like eating pizza for lunch. Certainly it's just another wild mood swing, so I ordered Domino's pizza online. I'm eating like a cow lately -_- damn.

It's Seafood Delight, yummy! I have a dream of opening a Domino's in KK someday in the future, I hope my dream will come true. Since there's none in KK yet, how sad eh??

I am becoming a lazy ass, loving procrastination. Pls help! I'm in need of motivation, and of course I have the urge to go shopping recently, feel like getting another phone. But sigh,I need self-control indeed. -_-

The good news is : am going to catch another movie the Dark Knight tonight.

Toodles.

Monday, July 14, 2008

Classes canceled today, damn good babey.

Missing those peaceful moment in the house, like I said, homeworks are heavy, I leave one more! I can't wait to finish the formal matters and chill out during the weekend!

Friday, July 11, 2008

A blessed birthday.

I am officially 19 years old. I had an awesome moment together with my pals here in KL.

Let me brief a little what had happened yesterday. lolz

Part 1

I met up with Suguna at 10.20am in KL Sentral, took a train to Mid Valley Megamall, it was fun indeed because we were on the same train where as Daniel was in it as well, like he mentioned; he was in the first box. LOL we were in the second box. haha so we went to peek on him, he was distracted I guess, didn't see us. We called, and he was surprised to see us. Boo!

Then the both of us met up with the rest of them in the cinema entrance. There was Jackson and Tommy Tan the two brothers, Suguna, the babi Daniel and Pui Yin, together and I; six of us went to have lunch at Domino's. And of coz, here comes the fun part. They gave me a huge surprise. It was fantastic. I was speechless, lolz

Yummy!

Group photo baby!
p/s : they gave me a puppy doll, damn cute ey.

Part two

I went to The Curve with my Arabian friends during the night, had dinner at T.G.I.F . They gave me another huge surprise , the waiter made me stand on the chair, holding a tomato sauce bottle, and requested me to a song to all of them. And shake a little, and again; I was speechless. I gave two speech in a day, the feelings was indescribable, tons of fun, too much laughters.

Unfortunately, happy hours end too soon, my homeworks are heavy :( I can't wait to sleep over at Wei Wei's tomorrow.

Thanks to all of you once again, I had a blissful birthday. mwah xoxo

Girls day out

Yo! Just so you know, Sales Carnival has just started today on the 5th July till 1st Sep, in every shopping malls in the country. Nevertheless, I went shopping in Times Square together with Aisha. We have been walking the whole day, everywhere was crowded. Hated the hot sunny day, but I enjoyed my shopping.

Aisha and I

Things I bought

I love colors.

Whoa, my weekend is fabulous baby! By the way, I had a regular Domino's pizzas last night with my biatch, it was ridiculous. I ate like a horse. woohoo.. Plus , I watched Wanted last night. I think I have seen all the movies in the cinema, lolz

Sigh, gotto deal with my homeworks, maths is getting difficult, i started to hate it =/
I will definitely miss outing with my pals. ahhh I can't wait for next weekend!

p/s : I have decided not going to the prom night. opss..

Thursday, July 3, 2008

Sunny Friday

Last night, friends and I went to Alamanda the mall located in Putrajaya. Which is damn far from my condo. You have no idea how beautiful the place is. The landscape is spectacular and clean, and it made me feel peaceful. We had Mc D meals; again. Then, we watched Hancock the movie,it was pretty nice. Most of the time I find all the seats were occupied, the whole cinema was bombarded with the young and old.

Prom night is just around the corner, I'm still taking my time to decide whether to go or not. It's the matter of looking for a suitable dress and a pair of high heels , that keeps me considering about it. I don't have time to do shopping, how sad is this ? =/

I can't wait to finish my homeworks and get my ass off from the house again. lolz

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

Today , my group members and I had successfully convey the meaning of Central Command Economy during the presentation, we had done an amazing job. lol However, I have no clue what it was all about, the whole topic and chapters, I knew only 20% out of everything.

Then here comes the drama in life, people started to bitch about people in the class. This is what life is all about ain't it? I am not surprised. I stay true to myself and be contented with everything, not giving a damn about the latest rumours and gossips. Likewise, I hate gossips and bitching about one another; it is so-not-cool. It's time to grow up ladies.

I had so much fun last night, in fact. I met a new girl from Nigeria which happened to her that she's staying in the same condo as well. So we had dinner downstairs at Piccadilly restaurant. Surprisingly , I have no idea why I ended up having a Mc D in Cyberjaya with my friends! The view was spectacular at night, I love it :)

This morning, shit happened. While I just came out from an elevator, a black guy approached me and talked to me, asked me to befriend with him. It scared me to death, lol I think most of the KL guys here loving doing that, it's one of their fav hobby eh?

Aight, I need my good sleep. Can't wait for another outing. Thank God I don't have class tmr! Hooray!

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Not just another busy weekend

Second week in college seems pretty tough for me, too many homeworks, too much fun, but too little time. I wish there's up more to 24 hours in a day. lol

Monday
  • Had class in the morning , math class was postponed to 3 pm. Back home at 6pm. Was dead exhausted.

Tuesday

  • Attended Accounting class and uploaded with tons of accounting homeworks. Accounting is killing me.

Wednesday

  • Yawned many times in Economic class, the most boring and top-difficult-to-be-understood-subject ever.
  • Chill out at friend's house during the night.
Thursday
  • My mates came to my house for our presentation discussion, and of course we had a fabulous time together. Also, we cooked lunch together.

That was yummy hey!
  • While I was walking to the elevator, a very handsome Arabian guy walked pass by, and said ' Hi Baby'. That was the most ridiculous moment. I was shocked n speechless. lol I smiled n walked away.

Friday
  • I had Domino's Pizza with a friend in Mid Valley & watched The Forbidden Kingdom in a pal's house.

  • I drove my friend's car on PJ roads while on the way back home, without a driving lisence of coz. omg!!

Saturday
  • Hang out with friends in Sunway Pyramid and watched The Nanny Diaries.
Sunday
  • Had breakfast at Mc Donald's , went to Calvary Church with my relatives, had seafood noodles at PJ SS2. Back home and relax.
Back to the reality, I have too little time leave to read for my test on Monday, which is tomorrow. Time flies, but I enjoyed my every single moment in KL.

Sunday, June 22, 2008

I feel as if the loneliness hit me all of sudden and it's unbearable, life is so dramatic sometimes but it reminds me that everyday is a new adventure, I shall choose to live happily and be gladful for everything. I can't believe tomorrow is Monday, I feel so sluggish right now. Thinking of presentation in two weeks time is giving me so much pressure. I am so not prepared for it. Speaking of lessons, my favourite ones are English for Business and Business Maths. I have no clue what Economy is all about :/ And the rest are so and so,hopefully I find delight in the midst of loneliness.
Life without a television is like living underneath the sea without seaweeds.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

Lonely no more.

First week in college was awesome. Mates are warmhearted, lecturers are wise, environment are wonderful. I'm loving the place where I'm living right now. Except when it comes to cooking. I can assure you that it's the hardest decision to make.

Amazingly, I hang out with a few arabian friends for movies during the weekend. I watched The Incredible Hulk, Kung Fu Panda and The Happening in 2 days time. It was the craziest week ever, and of course I had too much fun and eventually I have started to feel a little panicky. I'm afraid of having too much fun and forgetting what I've learnt in the class. How gay is this eh?

Likewise, I have tried some arabian foods. Yummy!

Can't remember the names of those, but the taste was exotic. Am lovin it!
This morning I woke up feeling drowsy, having backpain and stomach upset. Oh did I mention that I went to theme park last night? It was incredibly fun. Too much giggles with my crazy biatch. haha

Gotto dozed off now. Can't wait for another weekend outing.

p/s : I received a free Moji sponsored by iTalk Buddy in college two days ago.

Isn't he a cutie pie?

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Orientation class has just ended today, it was so far so good. I can't wait to have lesson started next Monday. Surprisingly, I was told that our study schedule is on Mon-Wed. In other words to say, I will attend college only on every Monday to Wednesday. Every morning class will start on 9.30am to 12.30pm. There'll be an hour lunch break; afternoon lessons will start on 1pm-5pm on Monday plus 1.30pm-4.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I was like 'omg!!' College lifestyle seems very flexible to me, I'm lovin it!

Am feeling drowsy, need my beauty sleep.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Arriving in KL on the 6th June. It was such an amazing journey, let's say I would describe it as a bittersweet memory. A little bit of tears together with a smiley face :)

I've started college baby! Can you believe it? I'm officially a college freshman. LOL!

Just so you know, I'm taking FSB in Stamford College PJ. This place is happening indeed. As the matter of fact, it's not too hard to check out a hottie anywhere I go. Seriously, this is no joking matter. lol

Apparently I'm living at Millennium Place Condo which is only 10 minute walk from my college. The view from my room's window is merely spectacular! Though I'm out of my comfort zone at the moment, I'm loving every single moment when I'm being on my own. Needless to say, I miss my family and friends so much back in KK! *sobbing*
